About the role:

We have a permanent opportunity for an experienced Operations Assistant based in our Albany depot. This role will require you to provide a broad range of administration support in accordance with the South West Region requirements to assist and contribute to the service delivery function in the district.

The role will involve:

  • Providing administrative assistance and IT support to depot management and operational staff
  • Raising purchase orders for goods and services, receipting goods and approving invoices (SAP)
  • Assisting with management of Bridgetown depot store/warehouse (inventory management)
  • Assisting with work order creation and execution (SAP and Maximo)
  • Assisting with management of fleet vehicles
  • Maintenance of Bridgetown depot facilities (cleaning/repairs/inspections etc.)
  • Assisting with management of Clearance to Work requests and shared district calendar (Outlook)
  • Assisting with management of district leave calendar, daily time recording reports and pay claims
  • Arranging functions and events, preparing presentation materials
  • Assisting with maintenance of various district registers (Excel)
  • Booking accommodation and making travel arrangements
  • General data entry, record keeping and document management tasks

Key skills and experience:

  • Demonstrated experience providing administrative support in an operational environment
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • SAP experience (materials management, purchasing, work order management modules)
  • IT troubleshooting skills are desirable (photocopiers/printers, laptops, tablets, mobile phones)
  • Adaptable to change
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Current W.A ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence.
