About the role
We have a permanent opportunity for a Senior Advisor to assist Water Corporation in supporting operations and maintaining compliance with environmental legislation and approvals. In this role you will have the opportunity to support the Water Corporation’s operations group in fulfilling environmental compliance obligations and support environmental monitoring and reporting business improvement projects. This role will be based in our Leederville office reporting to the Team Leader - Environment.
What the role will involve

- Lead projects to ensure compliance with licence conditions and support environmental monitoring and reporting business improvement
- Provide technical advice on compliance matters, support the investigation of non-compliances and development/implementation of corrective actions
- Conduct operational compliance audits review and analyse audit findings and report on audit findings and/or compliance performance
- Provide technical advice on incident response, facilitate the investigation of incidents and report on regulatory incidents
Key skills and experience
You will be degree qualified in environmental science or a similar discipline, along with demonstrated experience planning, managing and implementing audit and inspection programs. Your ability to build effective relationships with external stakeholders (government agencies), along with considerable knowledge of state / commonwealth legislation associated with environmental management in the water industry will ensure success in this role.
