About the role:
In this role you will carrying out complex, specialist hydrometric work in accordance with programs identified. Demonstrate leadership qualities to be able to mentor, coach and train staff with a specialisation in hydrometric disciplines to ensure professional outcomes and staff development is achieved to support business activities.
What the role will involve:
- Responsible for collection and validation of collected compliance and asset monitoring data
- Responsible for station ratings and calibration
- Responsible ensuring that all instruments in use are “in calibration”
- Provide feedback/input into development of new instruments and equipment and contribute to the development of improved techniques
- Assist the professional development of staff engaged in hydrometric work by facilitating training, coaching and mentoring.
- Be a role model to peers to support a more effective and collaborative team
Key skills and experience:
- Relevant diploma level qualification
- Current C class drivers’ licence
- Considerable experience in Hydrometric policy and standards
- Able to work out of hours and overnight intra-state when required
- Demonstrate ability to coach and mentor people
