In this role you will carrying out complex, specialist hydrometric work in accordance with programs identified. Demonstrate leadership qualities to be able to mentor, coach and train staff with a specialisation in hydrometric disciplines to ensure professional outcomes and staff development is achieved to support business activities.

What the role will involve:

Responsible for collection and validation of collected compliance and asset monitoring data
Responsible for station ratings and calibration
Responsible ensuring that all instruments in use are “in calibration”
Provide feedback/input into development of new instruments and equipment and contribute to the development of improved techniques
Assist the professional development of staff engaged in hydrometric work by facilitating training, coaching and mentoring.
Be a role model to peers to support a more effective and collaborative team

Key skills and experience:

Relevant diploma level qualification
Current C class drivers’ licence
Considerable experience in Hydrometric policy and standards
Able to work out of hours and overnight intra-state when required
Demonstrate ability to coach and mentor people
