What the role will offer you

In this role you will Lead the development and delivery of Corporate strategies and initiatives that drive enhanced Aboriginal employment, development, and retention.

You will provide coaching, advice and support on all people management and specialist support and advise the Aboriginal Employment and Development Aboriginal team.You’ll act as an escalation point for complex cases.

What you’ll do:

    Engage and educate, be the Subject Matter Expert to enable a capability uplift in cultural intelligence across the Corporation

      Maintain strong relationships, engagement and consultation with Aboriginal communities, organisations, external networks and internal stakeholders to further Aboriginal employment

        Coach the Aboriginal Advisors in their work with Aboriginal employees and employee managers to identify critical employee development and employment initiatives

          Lead and develop partnership opportunities and promote Water Corporation's Aboriginal employment strategy to external stakeholders

            Provide cultural advice and partner with the Talent Acquisition team on the development of career entry programs for Aboriginal people

              Lead complex case resolution and provide expert advice and support in relation to employees

                Design and implement the Corporation’s Cultural Intelligence program

                Your skills and experience:

                There are a few things that we’ll look for in your CV:

                  This position relates to Section 50(d) of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984, where Aboriginality is considered a genuine occupational qualification for this position

                    Extensive knowledge of Aboriginal culture and history and impacts of past and present policies on Aboriginal communities and people

                      Extensive experience in Aboriginal engagement

                        Considerable experience in program and / or strategy development
