Reporting to the General Manager People and Safety, the Employment Relations Manager forms part of our People leadership team. In this role, you will lead a highly capable, team of professionals to successfully manage the Water Corporations employment relations strategy, framework, and systems to support business performance and development objectives.
This role will see you strategically manage enterprise agreements, external relationships, complex case management, whilst integrating into the wider employment proposition, policy and compliance framework and HR program. You will provide remedies that mitigate risk to the Corporation in relation to employment and industrial relations issues, providing a balanced view and risk assessment across employment law.
Working collaboratively across the People business unit, you will leverage centres of excellence to provide strategic and operational HR/ER support, advice and leadership that contributes to empowering people to do their best work in an organisation that puts their health, safety, and wellbeing first.
Highly influential, with excellent communication skills, you are degree qualified, with extensive experience providing employment relations advice in a medium to large multi-disciplined organisation that has a combined workforce of blue- and white-collar employees.
In addition, you have extensive experience in:
- Negotiating, interpreting and applying enterprise bargaining agreements, awards and legislation and providing advice to others in the application of these instruments.
- Workplace investigations and resolving claims and disputes in the workplace.
- Working with Unions, fair work and related issues
- Relating effectively with employees, senior leaders, and executives
Importantly, you will be a strong, collaborative leader, who role models the organisational values and behaviours that contribute to a high performing, inclusive culture in a large, complex organisation.
