About the role
We have a permanent opportunity for an Engineer - OT Design to be part of a team which provides definition and design services for Water Corporation’s Operational Technology and instrumentation infrastructure. You will provide design and technical support for SCADA and related projects, and advice in process planning, definition, design, operations, and related standards. Based in our Leederville office, this role will be reporting to the Team Leader, OT

About you
- There are a few things that we’ll look for in your CV;
- Degree level qualification in an appropriate Engineering discipline, or Science, Computer Science
- Experience in SCADA and Instrumentation infrastructure planning, definition and/or detailed design of infrastructure assets
- Sound knowledge of the preparation and review of technical reports and engineering design process
- Demonstrates sound knowledge of engineering principles and practices relating to the design and commissioning of SCADA and Control Systems with particular emphasis on instrumentation
- Has sound knowledge of the development and analysis of Process and Instrumentation Diagrams
- Demonstrates sound knowledge of water related infrastructure assets, systems, and safety requirements
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels
- Knowledge of engineering design process
What the role will involve
- Undertake and coordinate investigations, conceptual planning and financial analysis for assessment, development and remedial works of SCADA and instrumentation assets
- Assist in the development and maintenance of engineering design criteria, design standards and manuals for SCADA, control, and Instrumentation within the agreed budgetary and time constraints
- Assist in the development and delivery of strategic reports and designs for the solution of infrastructure problems using in-house or external resources
- Monitor definition, design, and tender document performance for SCADA, control and Instrumentation works within agreed time and budget constraints, encourage incorporation of innovative technology
- Examine tenders for SCADA, control and instrumentation works and make recommendations
- Prepare design briefs for the engagement of consultants, evaluate consultant proposals, and report appropriate conclusions and recommendations
- Manage the planning, definition, and design of projects by consultants and review outputs and performance for conformity to requirements, appropriate design criteria, appropriate design standards, client requirements and to agreed time and cost
