Lead a team of technical experts.
A permanent opportunity based in Leederville WA as a Team Leader – Wastewater Recycling , to work in Water Quality Business Unit supporting our wastewater operations to manage recycling and disposal schemes across the state.
You will lead a team of experts for the improvement and development of waste disposal through coordination of key process improvement mechanisms to achieve regulatory compliance and reduce Corporate risk.
What the role will involve:
- Lead and manage a specialist team undertaking scientific and operational support of the Corporation’s wastewater recycling and disposal schemes/processes.
- Provide subject matter expertise and operational advice to maintain or improve the Corporation’s wastewater disposal scheme water quality performance.
- Lead the provision of advice to address WW recycling and disposal incidents and implementation of incident managed processes.
- Support regional operations and asset owners in ensuring existing recycling schemes achieve regulatory health compliance.
- Support the water quality requirements in the delivery of capital projects by providing technical advice and oversight during planning, design, and the commissioning process.
- Support the development and implementation of process control tables for recycled water schemes for both operations and recycled water recipients’ applications.
- Provides leadership in the planning and execution of wastewater quality management processes.
- Ensure adequate oversight and Governance of wastewater process performance, including ocean outfall disposal and Advanced Water Recycling for Groundwater replenishment.
A little bit about you.
You will have a degree level qualification or higher in relevant scientific or engineering field, and you would have substantial experience in wastewater operations and providing waste disposal technical expertise.
You will be methodical and logical and be able to adapt to our well-established water quality principles and processes. Ideally, you will have a sound knowledge of statutory requirements, regulation and national standards associated with waste disposal.
As this role is to lead a team, you will also have considerable leadership experience within a technical team.
