This is a permanent full-time opportunity based in Canning Vale, with travel to sites for scoping and planning.

A truly diverse role with planning and maintenance scheduling for the Mechanical and Electrical Trades teams.

You’ll be planning for the unplanned. You’ll help your colleagues carry out their work without any compromise to their safety and wellbeing. You’ll meet with teams to learn more about the business and understand their worksites / high risk activities.

Your role will be to review maintenance items in the work program and ensure effective resource allocation to meet maintenance work targets and schedules.

Ensure effective management of backlog or overdue preventative maintenance plans meet corporate measures.

Safety and quality are priority. Feedback is essential to achieve this. Constantly capturing, reviewing, and providing it means regional Operations Managers and Team Leaders can deliver high-quality, safe job planning on the back of your work.

You will be responsible in ensuring all work packs are created with safety as the priority, where no injury is considered acceptable, and all activities are undertaken without compromising health and safety.

Develop Safe Work Packs for medium and high-risk tasks to be carried out by operations and maintenance teams, and provide mentoring to field crews around Safe Job Planning.

Review and modify maintenance plans associated with the Safe Job Planning including processing feedback, data collection and implementing improvements.

You’ll know you’re in your stride when you’re improving the safety performance and processes in the field. That’s because your recommendations have been taken on board by the Operations Managers and Team Leaders.

Key skills and experience:

You’ll be experienced with infrastructure field work scheduling, planning or management, with the ability to plan a broad range of Mechanical and Electrical activities and you’ll be familiar with the software that supports your work, like SAP, Maximo, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft access.

You’ll also have sound knowledge of around procurement and purchase orders, and be competent in compiling safe Work Packs and report writing (detailed weekly reporting will be a part of this role).

Understanding of operational and maintenance requirements of water assets, operational or trade experience is required for this role.
