Lack of opportunities to use your skills’?
Given half a chance with your knowledge, you know you could do more with your background and talent. You have spent considerable time learning a great set of skills, so it is only right you put them to better use.
Reigniting your career as a Water Operator, you will not only be adding a nationally accredited qualification to your CV but will also see you learning a new set of skills that could have you on your way to a senior operator, management, or leadership role.
How would you use your skills?
As a Water Operator, you’re regularly outdoors. You’re digging trenches, inspecting pipelines and collecting water samples. You will also be finding and fixing faults on pipes, joints and replacing pipelines.
Your main concern is keeping the communities water supply network running. It’s understanding how these networks help your community get access to clean running water every day.
You will be playing a big part in maintaining some of the 56,800km of pipelines that stretch across WA.
Including the above and mix this in a supportive, family-friendly culture, a healthy starting salary, and a stack of fantastic benefits - you will have found yourself a career with Water Corporation.
What you’ll need to apply
A WA C-class driver’s licence is a must as you will be doing some driving. If you have a High-Risk Licence, Confined Space Ticket, you’ve probably got some experience working outdoors. That’s a good thing.
No water experience? No problem. It is our job to develop you.
