Reigniting your career as a Water Operator will not only add a nationally-recognised qualification to your belt, you’d be learning a set of extra skills that could have you on your way to a senior technical or leadership role.Your plumbing qualification would be extremely advantageous.

How would you use your skills?

As a Water Operator, you’re regularly outdoors. You will be repairing water and wastewater assets within the Great Southern Region.

Main concern is keeping your district’s water supply network running. That will be pipe repairs, chlorinator maintenance including chemical replenishment, water service installs and disconnections. It will also be understanding how these networks help your community get access to clean running water every day.

You will be playing a big part in maintaining some of the 56,800km of pipelines that stretch across WA.

Mix in a supportive, family-friendly culture, a healthy starting salary, and a stack of fantastic benefits - and you will have just found yourself a career with Water Corporation.

What you’ll need to apply

You will be doing some driving, so a WA HR -class driver’s licence will be essential. If you’ve got a high-risk licence, confined space cert and/or a construction white card, you’ve probably got some experience working outdoors. That’s a good thing.
