Running out of opportunities to realise your full potential?
Learning and growing in your profession should be two basic ground rules. If you feel like you’re not doing the type of work where you can make a telling contribution, here’s an opportunity to put your electrica l and instrumentation trades experience to good use.
The variety of work will keep you busy and engaged. You’ll be installing, testing and performing routine and unscheduled maintenance on a variety of water and wastewater treatment plants throughout the region.
What you can expect
Every day will have its unique challenges. Whether you’re working alone or with your supportive colleagues, your knowledge of SCADA will help you solve a variety of complex problems with atmospheric monitoring equipment, and water and chemical dosing systems.
There’ll be the occasional standby week. Whether you’re called out or not, you’ll get a 24-hour standby rate on top of your wage. You can work a 9-day fortnight if that fits better with your personal life. You’ll also experience a host of other benefits like an extra 6 weeks’ annual leave after 3 years’ service, and 17.5% on top of your pay every time you take annual leave.
About you
You’ll have an Electrical Trade Certificate and Instrumentation Ticket and some High Risk Licences, such as LF, EWP, DG. There’ll be some regional travel, so you’ll have a W.A ‘C’ Class driver’s license.
