Come and join the newly forming Maintenance and Reliability Business Unit. This is a team dedicated to optimising whole of life performance for new and existing assets. We will achieve this through investment planning, informed risk management, performance monitoring, maintenance planning and reliability engineering practices.
We do this to ensure our customers, internal and external, get a great level of service and to ensure we are being great stewards for these assets, that in most cases need to operate forever.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Maintenance and Reliability, you will lead the Maintenance Planning & Deployment section to consistently deliver organisational requirements, expected outcomes and benefits.
As a Section Manager supporting a large team, you’ll participate and contribute in the development of Business Unit strategies while implementing operational and tactical plans to achieve Section objectives and outcomes.
You will establish and maintain relevant controls and identify and manage risks while staying up to date with latest best practice approaches to introduce improvements and changes that continuously improve service delivery.
You will be in good company, with a supportive leadership team of professionals with a diverse range of experiences delivering services across Western Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of the maintenance planning for assets and ensure the integration with other drivers for investment to enable decisions around optimum timing and scope of investment, management of risk and customer service
- Develop Operational Maintenance Budgets and Operational Maintenance forecasts related to planned and corrective maintenance
- Monitor corrective maintenance spend and initiate deep dive on high-cost items
- Manage analysis of maintenance delivery effectiveness, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend maintenance delivery methodology and work programs
- Develop innovative was to better understand and manage the maintenance planning governance process
Skills and experience
Most importantly, you will be a highly experienced, collaborative leader, who role models the organisational values and behaviours that contribute to a high performing, inclusive culture.
Degree level qualification in relevant discipline and substantial experience in a similar role within a large complex organisation
Experience in a leadership position with the ability to manage people to maximise their potential and their contribution to the overall business unit objectives
Extensive experience in managing, organising, and reporting functional activities to deliver organisational outcomes
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills, and a proactive and positive, forward-thinking working style
