You’ll be part of the Groundwater Treatment team that supplies essential drinking water to the entire northern part of Perth. Based from the northern suburbs treatment plants treatment plants, you will be part of a team with exceptional team culture which is inclusive, supportive and hard working.
You will safely operate, monitor, maintain, and be responsible for the upkeep of Groundwater Treatment processes, bores, scheme assets and conveyance systems to ensure safe drinking water is supplied to meet licensed standards/guidelines and production demands.
What the role will involve
Conduct servicing, replenishment and monitoring of automated and/or semi-automated Groundwater Treatment processes associated with Scheme Assets to ensure safe drinking water is supplied to meet demand
Conduct routine process and water quality tests necessary to operate, maintain and sample water treatment processes and systems
Diagnose, and problem solve process related, issues and events and take action to correct faults or anomalies within the Groundwater Treatment Plants.
Provide support and assistance to other staff and/or contractors to maintain scheme assets
Operate, maintain and upkeep scheme assets to achieve efficient and effective outcomes & objectives
Proactively contribute and/or lead optimisation and continuous improvement activities associated with Groundwater treatment processes, systems and assets
Carry out planned and unplanned overtime to meet business needs and participate in a standby response roster if required
Key skills and experience
Demonstrated experience with Water treatment process streams and knowledge of drinking water quality requirements and standards
Ability to fault find systems & processes and recommend and apply corrective actions
Able to interpret process flow charts and plant schematic diagrams to locate components and isolate faults
Understands automated process-control systems and procedures
Valid drivers license
Certificate II National Water Package, Water sampling and Chlorine operations experience desirable.
