What you can expect with this role
- Obtain a deep understanding of WHS processes and methodologies and translate information into simple, risk based, polished and user-friendly documentation.
- Work closely with various SMEs to understand technical and process requirements.
- Research and access appropriate reference materials.
- Independently gather information from a range of sources to develop, write and edit integrated policies, guidelines, process documentation and user guides.
- Develop and use a variety of media forms to drive innovative communication strategies.
- Review, evaluate and rewrite current content applying standards of editing practice.
- Develop and update content to webpages and related artefacts.
- Analyse existing and potential content, focussing on re-use and single sourcing opportunities and develop innovative approaches for improvement.
- Write user-friendly content that meets the needs of the target audience and that sets up users for success.
- Work with section and OSH leads to develop clear and concise future focussed Health, Safety, Environment and Aboriginal Affairs (HSEAA) management system processes that support continuing HSEAA performance improvement.
Key skills and experience
Being appropriately qualified and experienced in a similar role will be necessary, where you can demonstrate a high standard of technical writing and editing skills.
With your superior written and verbal communication and an eye for detail, you will have sound experience writing documentation for multiple audiences.
You will have exceptional interpersonal skills, with proven experience in engaging with stakeholders and building long term relationships.
