What you’ll do:
- Prioritise demand, through business relationships and governance processes, of the company and align Business Systems initiatives to corporate objectives and initiatives.
- Ensure the digital architectures and standards for the organisation support the implementation of the Digital roadmap and security requirements.
- Advise on the strategic direction of cyber security and develop, implement and enforce information security policies to protect organisational infrastructure assets and critical data.
- Lead the cyber security team to monitor performance, lead compliance and awareness programs and conduct performance appraisals to provide that asset and information is secured commensurate with the level of risk, corporate strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Implement a framework which enables and manages the ongoing implementation of innovative initiatives.
- Implement a cost reduction / efficiency program in partnership with the Digital Transformation Officer to deliver tracking of costs and initiatives for reductions with particular focus on vendor costs for software, support and staff augmentation.
- Implement a robust ITIL based DevOps delivery model which enables the movement of software development through a full life cycle and ensures code is rapidly and consistently delivered.
What we are looking for:
- Computer Science of other relevant tertiary education linking technology to business value
- Prior experience as a CISO or similar leadership experience in cyber security risk and control management
- Demonstrated experience in successfully developing and implementing a cyber security strategy and an Digital roadmap for a commercial organisation of the size and nature of WaterNSW.
- Proven extensive experience in a managerial role heavily involved in strategy, cyber security, enterprise architecture, project delivery and planning in a mid-sized organisation.
- Strong technical, security, architectural and strategic leadership skills in an digital environment including people, process and technology management skills.
- Proven extensive experience in a managerial role heavily involved in project planning and delivery
- Agile delivery methodologies
- Up to date with the latest technologies, processes and methodologies (ITIL, TOGAF, COBIT etc)
- In depth knowledge of cyber security including best practice standards and frameworks including NIST, ASD, OWASP, ISO27000 and PCI DSS.
