What you’ll do:
- Lead and manage the contract management and support services team to achieve a high-level of compliance, commercial performance and to deliver high quality services that drive efficiency whilst also managing risk.
- Continuously improve WaterNSW’s Procurement Framework, Contract Management and Supplier Performance Framework and the self-service procurement intranet portal to enable staff to comply with policies and processes which are aimed at managing risk, but also improving commercial outcomes for WaterNSW.
- Enhance and maintain supplier risk assessment /management tools, supplier relationship management framework and category management reporting /insights.
- Develop, publish and maintain a procurement balanced scorecard and performance reporting system including procurement benefits and savings.
- Identify capability gaps within the Procurement team and the business, determine training required, and support the development and implementation of training and capability development initiatives designed to enhance key procurement competencies, in particular contract management.
- Provide assurance for WaterNSW’s compliance against NSW Procurement, GIPA Act and other regulatory and probity requirements.
What we are looking for:
- Professional Procurement qualification (e.g. MCIPS), relevant Bachelor degree or experience deemed equivalent
- Formal Project Management and Business Process Improvement/Lean qualifications or experience deemed equivalent
- Applied knowledge of procurement processes, policies, systems and frameworks
- Applied knowledge of corporate property and finance processes and structures to drive desired outcomes
- Knowledge of contract management, GIPA Act and Modern Slavery legislation
- Within a compliance, systems, process or governance focused procurement role and have experience of driving improved compliance performance
- Advanced stakeholder relationship management, communication, and negotiation skills
- Experience with ERP systems, including source to contract, procure to pay, materials and inventory management and asset management
- Current NSW Drivers Licence
