What you’ll do:

  • Extract, clean and prepare water data directly from databases to fulfil data requests and disseminate results to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Support WaterNSW and external customers with data importing processes and procedures, ensure reliability and provide support in the use these systems.
  • Deliver consistent and high-quality data services to internal and external customers as the point of contact for water data and ensuring data integrity from collection to use.

What we are looking for:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Statistics or relevant field.
  • Demonstrated experience in a customer contact environment
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of information management systems
  • Experience in data analysis using languages such as SQL/PL SQL
  • Experience in processing unstructured data in XML/JSON
  • Proficiency in report creation, modelling and trend forecasting
  • Knowledge of Data Visualization Tools
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to convey operational information in a concise manner
