What you’ll do:
- Ensure the development, implementation and evaluation of communication and community engagement plans to support the promotion of WaterNSW’s projects in the community.
- Ensure communication materials are developed to support communication and community engagement plans, including intranet and internet content, newsletters (internal and external), brochures and flyers, display materials, presentations, fact sheets and draft media releases in order to support the promotion of community engagement activities and projects.
- Provide advice across WaterNSW regarding community engagement activities and obligations.
- Manage community engagement databases for reporting and stakeholder relationship management
- Plan and manage major project events, to meet organisational community engagement schedule and coordinate formal community engagement forums and committees.
- Serve as the key contact point for particular community engagement related inquiries
What we are looking for:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field such as community engagement, communications, public relations or significant equivalent community engagement experience.
- Preparedness to travel within NSW to meet the demands of regional engagement projects.
- Availability to work on call and out-of-hours duties particular during incidents.
- Proven high level experience in managing community engagement projects including the development and implementation of community engagement plans
- Proven experience in writing and editing complex material to meet the needs of a target audience.
