What you’ll do:
The Program Manager is responsible for managing and executing projects and activities within the Long Duration Storage (LDS) Program in the achievement of Program objectives. Key responsibilities of the role includes but are not limited to:

Planning: Through consultation with team members, SMEs and stakeholders, refine the strategy and develop plans for the LDS program in accordance with WaterNSW requirements and the Program Agreement (funding arrangements).

Delivery: Lead the delivery of the LDS program, ensuring time, cost, quality and risk management objectives are met at all phases of the program lifecycle. Make data-driven decisions to optimise outcomes.

Representation: Work as the WaterNSW representative with Consultant and Developer managers by developing and implementing a program of advice/reviews/inputs to represent WaterNSW interests and objectives.

Stakeholder Engagement: Manage the relationship with external and internal stakeholders and oversee the preparation and execution of communication plans; including approval authorities, community and public consultation processes.

Compliance and Regulations: Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations, permits, certifications and WNSW technical/interface requirements related to LDS projects, while staying updated on changing legislative requirements.

Reporting and Communications: Manage the preparation of comprehensive reports on program performance, achievements and challenges.
What we are looking for:

Tertiary qualifications in business, science or engineering disciplines, and post graduate tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in project or contract management.

Direct projects experience in project development (preferably in the water or electricity generation sectors).

Ability to identify, assess and proactively manage various project risks across the project lifecycle.

Experience in successfully managing or monitoring stakeholder engagements and relationships to deliver desired outcomes efficiently and effectively.

Desirable: Experience in managing programs approximately 100 million in capital value and a record of successful delivery.
- Desirable: Experience with complex document development/technical writing.
