WaterNSW is seeking an experienced Technology Standards & Governance Analyst (Enterprise Architecture Analyst) (Full-Time, Permanent)
to join our Digital Partnerships & Data team.

This role is responsible for maintaining and embedding enterprise architecture and technology standards across both business‑as‑usual operations and project delivery. Acting as a trusted partner to the business, the role champions governance frameworks to ensure enterprise architecture standards are consistently applied, regulatory and compliance obligations are met, and opportunities for continuous improvement are proactively identified and translated into actionable outcomes that strengthen the organisation’s technology landscape.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop, maintain, and enforce technology standards, policies, and governance processes.
  • Track adoption of standards across ongoing operations, escalate non-compliance and recommend remediation.
  • Facilitate enterprise architecture review boards, compliance checks, and approval processes. Ensure projects adopt and adhere to enterprise standards.
  • Track AI initiatives within governance frameworks. Document approvals, risk/ethics reviews, and remediation tasks. Provide dashboards and assurance reporting to management.
  • Deliver clear, timely reporting and dashboards to support the Strategy & Architecture Manager, governance forums, and audits.
  • Refine governance tools, reporting frameworks, and standards based on lessons learned.
  • Work with architects, project teams, and risk advisors to ensure standards are understood, embedded, and practical.


What we are looking for:

  • Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in enterprise architecture standards, governance frameworks, and compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of IT operational processes and project delivery methods.
  • Experience enforcing technology standards and governance in complex organisations and in improving governance processes.
  • Experience supporting architecture review boards and monitoring compliance across BAU and projects.
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence
  • Desirable: Governance of Standards Certification
