Are you looking for an opportunity to apply your expertise in asset management to enhance the reliability and efficiency of our network at Western Power? Join our Asset Performance team and play a pivotal role in an exciting project that shapes the future of our network assets. In this position, you will be accountable for developing and implementing best practice operational asset management principles and long-term strategies to ensure optimal life cycle performance of our network assets.
Your Role in Action
As the Asset Engineer, you will be accountable for developing and applying best practice asset management strategies to deliver optimal life cycle performance of distribution assets on nominated traditional and renewable energy asset classes. This includes the development and application of maintenance procedures, condition and life assessment and risk mitigation strategies, technical problem solving and the preparation of work plans to support the Senior Asset Engineer.
What Makes You a Great Fit

Degree in electrical engineering

Eligibility for chartered membership of the Institution of Engineers Australia

Sound knowledge of engineering standards and regulations applicable to transmission assets.

Strong and demonstrated technical experience in a Networks business especially transmission maintenance.

Demonstrated ability in applying continuous improvement methodologies
