Plant Mechanic | Permanent Full-time | Kewdale

We’re currently seeking a skilled and experienced Plant Mechanic to join our team based at our Kewdale Depot.

Your Role in Action

In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for the repair, overhaul, and maintenance of Western Power’s mobile plant equipment.

Your work will ensure all machinery operates safely and complies with manufacturer specifications and Australian Standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Diagnosing faults and performing major repairs.
  • Stripping and rebuilding plant components.
  • Conducting preventative maintenance and safety checks.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Base Trade qualification (AQF3) in either Heavy Duty Mechanics, Fixed and Mobile Plant Mechanic, or Mechanical Fitter.
  • Demonstrated industry experience as a Heavy vehicle / Mobile Plant Mechanic.
  • Experienced in diagnosis and repair of hydraulics / low voltage electrical.
  • Highly developed teamwork skills - Must be able to work as part of a high performing team.
  • Valid WA ‘C' class licence (essential).
  • Valid WA ‘HR' Driver's License (Desirable).
  • High Risk licence class EWP (Desirable).
  • High Risk licence class Dogging (Desirable).
  • High Risk licence class Forklift (Desirable)
