We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Network Response Officer at our Stirling Depot, on a permanent basis.
About this role
As the Network Response Officer, you will be required to Respond to network outages, faults, incidents and emergencies, ensuring effective liaison with NOCC, affected individuals and emergency services. Identify and isolate electrical hazards, make safe, determine appropriate restorative action and either conduct repairs or delegate to Western Power or external contractors as necessary
- Ensure the safety of all parties via effective application of Western Power work practices, processes, and procedures.
- Analyse each job/incident and utilise appropriate resources to restore power as quickly as possible and in a safe manner.
- Maintain timely and effective liaison with NOCC, affected individuals, emergency services and other stakeholders.
- Manage all interactions with customers, general public and other stakeholders in a professional manner.
About you
We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:
- Cert 3 qualified lines person or qualified electrician - essential
- Current Electrical Workers License - essential
- Switching to level 5 – essential
- Preferably 4 to 6 years relevant and demonstrated experience, within a Networks business, including all appropriate licences’ or certificates of competency
- Progression to this level will require completion and performance of the required competencies and experience necessary at Q2 in addition to those required at this level and clear demonstration of alignment to Western Power’s values
- Knowledge of network construction, maintenance & field-based practices and procedures
- Able to respond to “Hazard Level 1” incidence.
- Good interpersonal and team skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Emergency driving skills.
- Demonstrable knowledge of distribution and transmission networks.
- Demonstrable knowledge of supply requirements and Customers/Western Power responsibilities.
- Flexibility to work in a 24/7 environment - essential.
