About the Role:
This position is responsible for the effective management of our Apprenticeship Program, which our future talent pathway for qualified electricians, line workers and cable jointers. This will involve working with other Entry Level Consultants to assist with ensuring our participants meet the requirements of accredited training and delivery of non-accredited learning pathways. This role also plays a key role in maintaining and developing strong relationships with TAFE and RTO to strengthen Western Power’s position as an industry partner.
In this role you will:
- Work with our external recruitment provider to effectively coordinate the annual apprenticeship program intake.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to effectively coordinate apprentice program induction, capstone courses, networking forums and graduation.
- Proactively support our apprentices to ensure they are successful in achieving their training plans in a timely manner and to assist with any barriers to progression.
- Work with TAFE and other RTOs to ensure a thorough understanding of training and competency requirements; and where required, to review the alignment of accredited training to Western Power’s needs.
- Effectively manage a range of stakeholders e.g., AASN, RTO’s and Formal Leaders.
- Ensure a deep understanding of the program’s compliance requirements to mitigate risk and ensure appropriate governance for the program is maintained.
About you:
The successful applicant will be experienced and competent in the following:
- Previous experience with managing an apprenticeship or entry level program.
- Previous experience in a qualified trade, e.g., electrician, will be highly regarded.
- A strong understanding of Australian apprenticeships and traineeships – systems, process, funding, and compliance.
- Experience using learning management systems.
- Strong organisation skills to effectively manage the end-to-end deliverables of the program.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and negotiate mutual beneficial outcomes.
- Certificate IV Training and Assessment (TAE10116), highly desirable.
