We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Automotive Electrical Apprentice at our Kewdale, for a 4 Year Apprenticeship.
About this role
As a Western Power Apprentice, you will be expected to operate safely and effectively while working towards your trade qualification.
During your four-year apprenticeship, you will undertake regular classroom and practical training to learn the trade skills you require. Back in the workplace you’ll be guided and mentored by qualified and experienced team mates to apply these skills working on Western Power fleet vehicles.
During your apprenticeship you’ll gain the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to become a qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanical or an Automotive Electrical Tradesperson.

About you
We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:
- Minimum of C Grades in Year 10 English and Maths or equivalent or equivalent and/or a mechanical / auto electrical pre apprenticeship.
- Valid WA ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence (desirable)
- The ability to effectively communicate and work collaboratively in the workplace, including updating formal leaders and team-mates of your commitments regarding the apprentice program and training
- Demonstrated constructive behaviours in line with Western Power values
- Motivation and commitment to complete the apprenticeship in your chosen career path
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, along with regular drug and alcohol testing
- Commitment to safety in the workplace
