We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Tradesperson at our Kewdale Depot on a permanent basis.


About this role

As the Mechanical Tradesperson you will be required to repair, service, maintain and undertake project work on Western Power’s heavy vehicle and mobile plant to ensure they are operating safely and maintained to manufacturers and Australian Standards.


About you

We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:

  • Base Trade qualification (AQF3) in either Heavy Duty Mechanic and or Mechanical Fitter
  • High Risk licence class Forklift (desirable)
  • Valid WA ‘HR’ Driver’s License (desirable)
  • Demonstrated industry experience as a Mechanical Tradesperson
  • Demonstrate a technical competency in hydraulics, low voltage electrical and welding skills above Base Trade level
  • Motor Vehicle Repairer’s Certificate (desirable)
  • Intermediate Written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
