We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager at our Perth Office on a Permanent Full-time basis.
About this role
Major Capital Customer Connection Services are responsible for the delivery of electricity network high profile and challenging projects ranging from interconnecting large mining customers, government, renewable generation, and battery technologies as well as network asset relocations to facilitate infrastructure and land development.
As the Project Manager you will be accountable for the overall coordination and completion of Major Capital Customer Funded projects ensuring that these are delivered to agreed criteria, with commercially competitive standards for safety, cost, timeliness, quality, scope and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for managing and delivering large scale/complex electrical network projects with a particular focus on planning the execution phase aligned with customer timeframes.
About you
We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:
- Trade / Tertiary Qualifications in Engineering or Construction or at least 8 to 10 years demonstrable industry experience
- Industry accreditation in project management, RegPM / PMI
- Broad and extensive knowledge with a minimum of 8+ years as a Project Manager and demonstrated experience in managing large scale/complex electrical construction projects (Transmission & Distribution) in a power utility or related industry.
- Working knowledge of contemporary, industry standard project management methodology such as PMBoK or Prince2.
- A successful record of delivering complex, large value, high risk projects within a constrained timeframe.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, decision making and negotiation ability in dealing with external customers and able to work collaboratively across all levels within the organisation.
- Detailed working knowledge of Project Management methods, tools, and systems. It is desirable that you are an experienced user of Primavera P6 for the management of project costs, schedules, and resourcing.
- Sound understanding of resource planning across multiple projects and team.
- High level of business acumen including strategic planning, finance, and leadership skills.
- Capable of interacting with resources, managers of all levels and external facing customers in a professional manner.
- Experience in a Project Management role where managing teams has been required
