We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Team Leader at our Perth Office, on a permanent full-time basis.
About this role
As the Engineering Team Leader - Automation, you will be required to:
- Deliver end to end Automation services for the Transmission and Distribution network providing telemetry and control interface to all plant items, including estimates, control schemes, customer interface, and design verification.
- Lead the planning, scoping, scheduling, coordination, design and engineering of secondary systems projects.
- Deliver project specific designs across secondary systems disciplines ensuring all designs are safe, reliable and affordable.
- Manage and develop quality feedback systems
- Implement an integrated program to develop standard designs, templates, guidelines and specifications leading to safe, reliable and affordable designs.
- Contribute to and support the optimisation of capital expenditure through efficient and effective engineering design.
- Contribute to and support risk management
- Manage talent through effective execution of employee performance outcomes through established system and processes and the ongoing development of employees
About you
We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:
- Degree in Engineering, eligible for corporate membership of the institution of Engineers Australia – essential
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) with Engineers Australia – desirable
- Extensive experience in an electricity utility business or related associated with the provision of effective operational or planning engineering services
- Demonstrated people management skills with ability to coach, motivate and lead a multi-disciplinary team
- Extensive experience in power system modelling (desirable)
- Risk management and compliance experience (desirable)
