Head of Power Training
Western Power is an Accredited Registered Training provider and are seeking to permanently fill the Head of Function - Power Training Services. Based primarily at Jandakot, this new role will build the vision and capacity to train our current and future workforce and contribute to Western Australia’s green energy future.
Reporting to the Executive Director People, and leading a great training team, the role manages services delivered to our diverse entry level and operational workforce across Perth and the South West of Western Australia.
We are seeking an experienced professional with a broad and deep business knowledge, to manage our RTO governance requirement, develop the approach to technical training, and challenge the status quo.
This is a chance for you to bring your strategic leadership skills to the table and apply your conceptual ability and innovative thinking to design, plan and implement new ways of working across the enterprise as part of the Western Power senior leadership team.
The ideal candidate will possess a specialised and advanced understanding of diverse learning practices and principles and ideally prior experience in managing an RTO.
What can you bring to Western Power?
- Tertiary qualifications in Business Management, Learning and development or Human Resources
- Broad and or deep knowledge in developing and executing training programs, setting standards policies
- Specialised and advanced understanding of diverse learning practices and principles
- Great leadership, influencing, communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven experience in both internal and external stakeholder engagement
- An understanding of working with regulatory, financial, commercial, and technological drivers
- An understanding of risk and compliance management and its application in the business
