We’re seeking two Human Resources Business Partners to join our team in permanent roles, partnering closely with leaders and teams to deliver impactful, high-level HR consultancy and support. In these roles, you’ll act as a proactive advisor and trusted partner, translating business needs into strategic, people-focused solutions aligned with our People Strategy.

Working collaboratively across your portfolio, you’ll provide expert guidance on the delivery of key initiatives such as workforce planning, talent management, organisational effectiveness, and culture. You’ll play a vital role in shaping outcomes for the business and foster a workplace grounded in safety, inclusion, and continuous improvement within a strong legislative and governance framework.

We have two opportunities available:

  • One full-time position – based at Forrestdale, with regular working in the city and other sites
  • One part-time role (four days per week) – based Perth CBD

Your Role in Action

  • Be a trusted partner to leaders and teams, delivering high-quality HR advice while challenging thinking and shaping commercially sound, people-focused outcomes.
  • Build meaningful relationships, influencing and aligning leaders across varying levels of capability and priorities to foster a positive, high-performing culture.
  • Empower leaders to confidently manage their people by providing expert support across performance, development and workforce management.
  • Partner with Centres of Excellence to plan, deliver and embed key people initiatives across workforce planning, talent management, organisational effectiveness and engagement.
  • Play a pivotal role in shaping the future workforce by supporting HR programs and projects in a fast-paced, complex environment, applying project and change management principles.
  • Navigate a fast-paced, high-volume environment with confidence, applying sound judgement, critical thinking and a proactive approach to risk, while collaborating with Employee Relations and Case Management to support effective outcomes.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Proven experience as an HR generalist, with broad exposure across core people and culture functions and a strong practical application of HR legislation and governance frameworks.
  • Demonstrated success partnering with leaders in contemporary HR operating models, including collaboration with Centres of Excellence and shared services.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex people matters and translate insights into practical, fit-for-purpose solutions.
  • Highly developed stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence, coach and constructively challenge leaders to drive better outcomes.
  • Experience leading or delivering projects and initiatives, with a structured, outcomes-focused approach to planning, prioritisation and execution.
  • Highly organised and adaptable, with the ability to manage competing priorities, assess risk and make sound, timely decisions in a fast-paced environment.

By joining Western Power, you will contribute to powering a cleaner energy future. We are dedicated to fostering career development and promoting a healthy work-life balance, empowering you to drive innovation as we develop a network that will serve the Western Australian community for generations. You will also benefit from a range of perks and opportunities, including:

  • Flexible work arrangements to support part time work, working hours and working from home arrangements.
  • The opportunity to purchase up to four weeks of additional leave per year.
  • Access to salary packaging, social club activities, and discounted health insurance and gym membership.
  • An award-winning employee recognition and benefits programme.
  • An innovative team culture that’s enabling the transition to renewable energy and decarbonisation.
  • In addition to standard leave, enjoy three wellness leave days each year.
  • 22 weeks paid parental leave and 5 days of First Nations cultural leave to support family and cultural connections.
