About the opportunity
Due to a recent merger and increase in workflow, Westgold are sourcing a team-oriented, customer focused Information Technology Officer (IT Officer) to provide technical assistance support to internal stakeholders.
This position is based in Perth Head Office and is offered on a permanent full-time basis.
The role includes
- Providing first point of IT support contact for all staff
- Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications
- Assisting staff or clients through a series of actions, either face to face, email or over the telephone to help set up systems or resolve issues
- Troubleshoot technical issues to resolution and/or escalate to suppler or partner organization as require
- Log all incidents and service requests in designated Helpdesk system and manage Helpdesk tickets, planning and prioritizing systematically to minimize backlog and ensure operation efficiency
- Ensure system and data security is maintained to a high standard, ensuring the integrity of the network and systems are not compromised
- Expedite the repair off hardware faults and software configurations problems, notifying or forwarding to relevant suppliers in a timely manner
- Monitor performance of networks and systems, ensuring issues are appropriately escalated and resolved

- Provide technical assistance to project teams and undertake technical project role when requested
What do I need?
- Willingness to solve complicated provlems and projects through to completion
- Analytical skills to study problems and records and identify solutions
- Team oriented-attitude to help other colleagues and departments with technical problems
- Strong interpersonal communication skills – written and verbal
- C Class Manual Driver’s License (required)
- IT Specific Certifications Working knowledge and expertise with a variety of software, hardware and applications (desirable)
- Exposure to MS Technologies including but not limited to MS Office 365, Azure and Active Directory
- Exposure to VMWare environments – (Desirable)
