About the opportunity
Due to an increased workflow, Westgold Resources have a newly created opportunity for an experienced Geology Manager - Corporate to work at Perth Head Office on a permanent full-time basis.
Reporting into the GM – Tech Services, the successful candidate will be required to travel frequently to all Westgold Operations in the Murchison and Southern Goldfields and communicate challenges, requirements and outcomes between the Corporate and Operational teams. The Mine Geology Manager with demonstrate the ability to influence and make decisions within multi-discipline teams.
The role includes
Overseeing monitoring and tracking ore
mining activities, geological reconciliation, providing advice to Operations to
assist them minimise dilution, recover the highest proportion of economic mineralisation
and maximise the commercial outcome of the site in line with Corporate guidance
Provide geological input the Site’s Resource
Definition disciplines to ensure that all technical professional work is
completed to an adequate standard and in an acceptable timeframe
Provide geological input into the Life
Participate in effective
decision-making pertaining to geological technical / operational aspects of the
Site
Formulation and implementation of
technical training programs in consultation with relevant personnel to provide
pathways for upskilling and achieving excellence in technical outcomes
Assist with preparation and
Engage external resources as required
to provide competitive pricing, high quality work / parts and site policy
compliance.
Ensure goods and services procured
from outside the company are obtained under contracts or purchase orders in a
timely manner.
Assist in supervision of Contractors,
maintaining a good working relationship. Monitor contractor performance and
compliance.
Positively promote, educate and comply with the Company’s Core Values
What do I need?
Tertiary degree in Geology or similar.
Knowledge and understanding of Work
