About the opportunity

Westgold Resources are on the lookout for an experienced Occupational Health Advisor to assist in the development and implementation of Westgold’s Health and Hygiene Management Strategy in line with company and statutory requirements.

This role will be offered on a 6 month Maximum Term Contract and will be based at Westgold’s Perth Head Office on a 5 days on, 2 days off roster. Some site travel will be necessary.

The role includes

  • Occupational Hygiene
  • Fitness for Work (decentralised implementation and operational management)
  • Develop systems for site management of infectious disease programs across the operations
  • Implement and provide system for training stakeholders in the Cority Medical Data Management Computer program
  • Assist in the development of systems for site to report health data as required to comply with statutory and business requirements
  • Assist in the implementation of system and process for Poisons Permit Compliance, consultation with WGX medical provider and site management of Health Management Plans

What do I need?

  • Health promotion or health care experience or currently studying
  • Cority and INX experience desirable
  • Experience with the mining sector working in the Health and Safety field
  • Attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • 'C' Class Driver's License
  • National Police Clearance - 12 month validity
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
