About the role

Our Tomago team is expanding! WesTrac, Tomago, is seeking an experienced Hydraulic fitter. The shift available for this position is 5 on 2 off, even rotation with both day and night shifts.

You will be working alongside our team of experienced and motivated Hydraulic Fitters, based in our state-of-the-art facility in Tomago. The successful applicant will be a motivated individual who is highly experience in the overhauling of surface and underground hydraulic components, including cylinders, pumps, valves and accumulators. You will bring a high level of technical skills and expertise to the role, along with a strong drive and motivation to succeed and commit to a team.

Skills and Experience

As the successful candidate you will possess the following skills:

  • Mechanical Trade Qualification
  • Basic computer skills
  • Experience overhauling all Hydraulic components
  • Experience overhauling Piston Pumps and Motors is highly regarded
  • Sound working knowledge of Caterpillar equipment is highly regarded
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Nationally accredited forklift and Dogman ticket
  • Demonstrates the WesTrac SPARC values of Safety, Pride, Accountability, Respect and Customer
