Looking for a role that will engage and challenge you? WesTrac has an opportunity for a Demand Planner to join our team at our Perth Branch on a full-time basis.
A member of the Operational Support Team, the Demand Planner’s primary accountability is to provide a detailed scope for new Machine build scheduling. In this role you will need to be proactive and have strong problem-solving skills, being able to report and manage any deviations caused by short lead time orders, changes in customer delivery requirements, Shipping / transport changes and vendor inputs that have the potential to effect machine delivery as planned.
The Demand Planner contributes with ongoing management and reporting for build schedule capacity, including resource demands enabling compliance to plan within the execution team with concentration on achieving New Machine completion promise dates with planning for Labour, Parts or other resource requirements mitigating shortages or completion date bunching by executing effective demand planning.
To be successful the following is required:
- Experience within a Maintenance or Project management Role.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal)
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to maintain successful working relationships
- Basic understanding of financial principles (e.g. budgeting, forecasting)
- Experience with planning tools such as AMT, Project or SAP.
- Advanced computer literacy skills - MS Office, internet-based applications
- Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills to effectively resolve issues in the workplace
- High level attention to detail with the ability to absorb technical information quickly
- Advanced time management, planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage fluctuating workloads and priorities to meet objectives
- Ability to work successfully within a team and autonomously
- Caterpillar product knowledge (desirable)
