WesTrac is seeking an experienced Field Service Auto Electrician to join our team!
Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, this role will see you diagnosing faults, performing routine maintenance tasks, and conducting meticulous inspections to ensure machines are in optimal working condition. With a focus on safety, you will work autonomously to ensure all work completed meets CAT standards, resulting in reduced machine downtime and continued customer satisfaction.

As a Field Service Auto Electrician, you will gain exposure to a range of CAT machinery from Excavators through to Articulated Dump Trucks.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary onsite point of contact, addressing customer requirements and providing excellent customer service.
  • Perform repairs, maintenance, and inspections on CAT machinery to ensure optimal working condition before handover.
  • Provide travel support, visiting various locations throughout the Sydney region to offer field service assistance and address customer needs.
  • Liaise and coordinate with planners to manage customer requests and machine requirements, ensuring a smooth and efficient delivery process.
  • Report troubleshooting and repair findings both digitally and verbally with customers and internal stakeholders.

Roster and Remuneration

  • Monday to Friday, overtime available
  • Hourly rate FROM: $53.00
  • Overtime Rate FROM: $80.00

Skills & Experience

  • Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology (Australian Trade Recognised)
  • Mechanical aptitude & current refrigerant handling licence highly regarded
  • Familiarity with Caterpillar Equipment or OEM experience desirable
  • Excellent diagnostic and repair skills
  • Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders to ensure deliveries are made on time and to customer standard
  • Ability to work autonomously in the field and in a team
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Applicants with site bans are ineligible for Field Service Positions
