About The Role
Have you been having all the good ideas and plans for improvement, but not enough authority to make them all happen? We have a role for you where making these ideas real is what you do!
Responsibilities:
- Achieve cost effective operations in accordance with annual operating plans, Life of Mine and budgets
- Develop Digital Twin of the operations
- Identify improvement opportunities, develop, prioritise and execute improvement projects
- Develop and manage Operational Technology Roadmap
- Develop and maintain the Business Improvement budget
- Heavily involved in all Autonomous Projects
- Oversee the development, operation and maintenance of Business Improvement systems, standards, and procedures;
- Measure, manage and sustain Business Improvement projects;
- Set up the Business Improvement framework, with training and engagement to deliver on key site activities.
- Set up a Business Improvement tracking system that can clearly display initiatives to their respective pillars.
- Provide leadership and guidance in continuous improvement across the MCC 4 Pillars (Health/Safety/Environment, People/Culture, Volume/Performance, and Cost/Revenue).
About You
- Qualifications in Business Improvement methodologies (Six sigma, Lean, Theory of Constrains - desirable)
- 7 + year’s mining engineering or relevant technical experience in open cut mines
- Additional commercial qualifications are advantage
- Proven Business Improvement experience in the Mining or Mineral Processing Industry;
- Ability to influence and engage other people and departments;
- Proven project management experience and know-how;
- Understand and believe in modern leadership principles;
- Well-developed planning and work management skills, and the ability to work autonomously;
- A strong understanding of key business and industry success drivers;
- Sound commercial acumen with the ability to relate physical activities to budget goals and constraints;
