About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced residential Superintendent – Health & Safety to join our new Vickery Mine as part of early mining activities.

Located at our new Vickery Mine site and reporting to the Manager – Health & Safety, this role will support Vickery Mine by developing, coordinating, maintaining and enhancing Health and Safety, and Emergency management systems across the site and by ensuring statutory compliance.

What You’ll Do

Comply, support, develop and sustain the Health and Safety Management System and Plans, legislative requirements, and safety instructions and directions, contributing to the company goal of “zero harm”.
Support the operations in the development of a Health and Safety-focussed culture through collaborative and effective communication.
Develop and maintain safety and training management systems in response to legislative and operational change, industry leading practice and incident corrective actions.
Maintain WHC safety risk matrix.
Facilitate level 2 risk assessments and root cause investigations as required.

What You’ll Bring

Tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety or related discipline.
Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment
WHS Systems Auditor
First Aid Certificate
Minimum 7 years WHS experience
WHS experience in the mining industry (highly desirable)
