About The Role
Gunnedah Basin Haulage is a fully owned subsidiary of Whitehaven Coal and we currently have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Superintendent to lead our teams. Your team will be responsible for the safe and effective haulage to and from our Tarrawonga mine, to our Coal Handling and Processing Plant (CHPP) in Gunnedah, a distance of approx. 40kms. The GBH operations are based just outside of Gunnedah. This is a key senior residential position, working Monday to Friday.
What You’ll Do
- Demonstrate commitment to our goal of Zero Harm to both personnel and equipment
- Responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of Scania A Double side tippers
- Manage a team of approximately 60 employees
- Correlation of daily weekly and monthly performance
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment and organisational culture
What You’ll Bring

- Leadership and focused delivery of performance
- Strong safety presence and experience in on road haulage
- Experience with side tippers and compliance.
- Strong proven operation / logistics experience
