About The Role
This role will require you to provide support to the Group Approvals team focusing on the delivery of an extensive pipeline of environmental approvals required across the Whitehaven Coal business.
What You’ll Do
- Project management of technical specialists
- Scoping and reviewing technical studies
- Reviewing and advising on approval aspects across the business
- Engagement with internal and external stakeholders
- Supporting and engagement with operational teams on future approval requirements
- Liaise with consultants and contractors to ensure timely submission of reports,
- Manage costs by conducting regular reconciliations of expenditure against the budget
What You’ll Bring
- You will possess Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science or equivalent
- Prior experience in the mining industry will be highly regarded
- You will have a high level of initiative, self-management and organisational skills
- You will have had prior experience with Microsoft Office Suite
