About the Role
The Functional Consultant for Promotions/Pricing is responsible for the governance, design, and configuration of SAP functional solutions in the SAP Promotion/Pricing space. This is an autonomous role, requiring the ability to work individually for the delivery of results, due to the size and complexity of the team ( internal and external resources). Key deliverables include:

Evaluate and identify key functionality in Enhancement and Service packs that align with existing and proposed use, with recommendations and consideration for you.

When required, perform the role of a SAP Architect or SME for the SAP pricing/promotion functional area, including providing mentorship and guidance to junior functional consultants.

Support the creation of conceptual and logical business solution designs for new business solutions, communicate solution design to Service Delivery Team, and monitor solution implementation to ensure requirements are met.

Collaborative creation of Business Process Documents, along with the Business Analysts and Business Process Owners.

Provide solution design options, including effort estimates.

Create, and review Functional Specifications created by others, based on the chosen solution.

Assist in identifying the process and change impacts from the selected solution designs.

Assist the Project Manager & Product Owner with scope, issue, and risk management.

Validate the solution post-development (unit testing), and assist in defining the test case scripts for system and user testing.

Configure, and review the configuration of other consultants, of SAP applications to meet business requirements as required.

Provide Level 2 and Level 3 production support as required.

Assist in the knowledge transfer of newly delivered solutions to team members

Assist in the identification and execution of testing (new support packages, releases, functionality, and customising) in close co-operation with the functional, development, and testing teams.
About You
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5-7 years work experience within SAP Retail Finance, Procurement and Promotions/Pricing and overall 10+ years SAP experience; with demonstrated experience implementing large scale SAP Procurement or Retail solution in a complex SAP environment, with a large user base. You will have the ability to design and build solutions that are easily supportable and meet business needs, with proven results through the full lifecycle of SAP projects. You will also have:

Strong experience in the business process and configuration in areas of SAP Retail, Pricing and/or Promotion in a large SAP environment.
