About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Digital Merchandising Manager, you will support the delivery of Ecom Trading across a group of categories to develop the Digital category plan and deliver an outstanding proposition across the range, promotions and content for our customers.
As a key member of the team, you will assist in the development and execution of the core merchandising strategy, working across the broader food group to maximise sales and profit across the site.
Key Responsibilities:

Create the plans that deliver strategic alignment to the overarching ambitions of Woolworths Supermarkets, WooliesX and Cartology to design initiatives that deliver against key business financials including Sales, gross profit, margins and compliance as well as customer outcomes such as NPS, database growth and VOC.

Working with the Buying & Merchandising Managers, you will select the right promotions for digital feature for customers, commercial performance and operational efficiency

Embed Digital Merchandising principles around Content, Ranging, Price & Promotions

Represent WooliesX and Tribe objectives to incorporate into Category strategic planning where appropriate

Execution of the B2C Digital category plan including campaign integration & development of online only promotional program in alignment with the buying team

Understand the commercial model of WooliesX and articulate key considerations to stakeholders within WooliesX and the broader Woolworths Group.

Optimise commercial outcomes for categories through levers such as margin mix optimisation, COGS improvement, effective trade investment optimisation.

About You

To be successful in this role, your key attributes will include:

3-5 years FMCG/Retail experience in areas such as digital merchandising, category development/insights, sales planning.

Demonstrated ability to influence, establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Proven analytical and problem solving skills.
-
Proactive and curious mindset to drive continuous improvement.
-
Attention to detail is critical.
-
Intermediate Excel / Google sheet abilities - e.g. pivot tables and formulas.
-
Strong visual, verbal and written communication skills; comfortable presenting.

Proven ability to take ownership and lead minor projects or initiatives.
-
A keen passion for driving results, and a demonstrated ability to influence, establish and maintain strong relationships with senior management & wider business
