The Opportunity

This role will leverage Woolworths data assets and work with the wider Woolworths group to develop a world class retail media analytics capability. You will provide complex analysis and deep dives to Cartology clients using ML and advanced analytics techniques.

Drive the analytics roadmap and manage teams/relationships to provide reliable recommendations and activate brands to achieve goals in effective ways. The role acts as analytics expert and retail media expert to drive analytics innovation to grow the business.

A typical day would involve:

  • Understand Cartology Clients’ marketing needs and objectives and design, deliver and present solutions that provide insights and recommendations on media campaign planning, ad efficacy and conversion performance.
  • Continuously look for advertising opportunities in data, model outcomes and highlight them to sales, marketing, product and clients to improve campaign planning, effectiveness, product & brand targeting, performance and ROAS outcomes.
  • Responsible for stakeholder management and partnering across the wider Cartology team and Woolworths business to ensure models and analytics are understood and used in the right way to create incremental impact on the advertising business growth
  • Create test & lean methodologies to fully understand the impact of Cartology media assets on campaign performance in both the short and long term
  • Drive strategy to build and maintain state of the art ad campaign attribution models, segmentation, targeting and optimisation models

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a hands-on lead with demonstrated ability to influence, establish and maintain strong relationships with senior management, sales teams, internal stakeholders and external clients

In addition:

  • 5+ years of hand-on analytics experience (developing models, feature engineering)
  • Ability to grow and manage an analytical team
  • 7+ years experience in Python (or R) and SQL
  • Demonstrable experience in using SQL for advanced analytics
  • Ability to translate data to digestible insights for wider business understanding and influence.
