About Us
Construction is now well underway for our new Moorebank NDC (MoNDC). Located in Moorebank NSW, MoNDC is the latest distribution centre being added to the Primary Connect Network. The 44,900 sqm facility - equivalent to almost three times the size of the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). This will strengthen Primary Connect’s national supply chain and service more than 1,000 Woolworths Supermarkets across Australia with more than 12,000 product lines.
About the opportunity
We are now seeking an experienced Operations professional who is passionate about safety, supply chain excellence, and building high-performing teams. As our Shift Operations Manager - Day, you’ll be accountable for the daily operational performance across our key pillars of safety, service and people. Together with your Team Leaders you’ll create and foster a culture of teamwork and inclusion, where our Team Members feel empowered to contribute their best and make a meaningful impact on our business and to our customers.
You’ll demonstrate your impact by
- Develop and implement processes and strategies to achieve operational excellence, with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure that the Moorebank Distribution Centre is integrated effectively into our national supply chain network.
- Continuously improve our supply chain processes and performance, leveraging data and analytics to drive insights and inform decision-making.
- Building and developing your team by providing coaching and development opportunities to support their growth and success.
About you
We’re looking for a results-oriented leader who is passionate about safety, teamwork, and supply chain excellence. Ideally you would have led multiple teams and functions within an automated distribution or manufacturing environment. You’ll also have the following:
- Whilst the role is primarily focussed on day operations, given the nature of this DC there would be a requirement to be flexible on your start and finish times.
- Proven experience in an operations management role, preferably in a fast-paced distribution centre environment.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
- A deep understanding of safety protocols and risk management, with a commitment to ensuring that safety is embedded in all aspects of operations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams.
- A track record of driving continuous improvement and delivering results in a complex, matrix environment.
