About the Role
At Primary Connect, we are committed to providing best-practice workforce and labour planning for our distribution centre teams. Our goal is to plan efficiently and effectively while optimising service and cost. The Team Planner is responsible for executing and coordinating the development of short and long-term resource planning processes by effectively forecasting, planning and rostering resources to ensure safety, budgets and operational requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Calculate weekly labour planning requirements based on volume forecasts and current work standards within EA guidelines and budgets
- Forward planning for seasonal recruitment
- Implement strategic initiatives to support ongoing operational efficiencies and identify resource gaps
- Comparing forecasts and results to identify potential improvements and solutions
- Attend and prepare data for weekly planning meetings with site stakeholders and site labour agencies
- Management and maintenance of the labour management system
- Contribute to the National Workforce Planning strategy and framework by ensuring consistent practices are implemented and followed
What you'll need to succeed
- Advanced computer literacy, including Google Sheets, Excel etc.
- Experience operating labour management systems and warehouse management systems
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to use initiative and work under pressure
- A high level of prioritisation, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience working with Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBA) awards is advantageous
- A high level of organisational skills with the ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment
