In 2019, Woolworths Group established Australian Grocery Wholesalers (AGW) to act as a standalone domestic wholesale business supporting primarily our partnerships with Wholesale customers such as Ampol and Foodbank. As the business evolved, the scope was expanded to include remote indigenous communities, charity partners and in early 2021, Meat manufacturing customers.
About the Role
This role will join the group of Commercial Assistants in AGW who work centrally to support all areas of the AGW commercial team, partnering with the Senior Commercial Manager to become a subject matter expert in the end to end wholesale business to build IP within the central CA function.
The Commercial Assistant role will work across the entire Australian Grocery Wholesalers customer group which will enable us to remain agile as a New Business division.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Management of article lifecycle in SAP: (article creation, maintenance and discontinuation)
- General administrative support on meetings & customer engagement
- Manage and resolve supplier product onboarding
- Manage and resolve customer queries, and escalate as required
- Customer claims & invoice reconciliations
- Personal Development Plan (PDP)
- Administration of new customer pipeline reporting
- Data integrity on new article creation
- Timely resolution of customer claims/queries
- Daily/weekly/monthly tasks completed accurately ahead of deadlines
- Continuous process improvement
- New customer onboarding completed within timeframe
About You

You’re curious and empathetic, and as a systems thinker you have an eye for the bigger picture. You thrive in ambiguity, and deal with complexity by collaborating with colleagues, listening to customers, testing ideas and continuously learning.
In addition you will possess:
- General administration experience (2-3 years) in a similar role
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Retail working experience would be advantageous
- Ability to build and maintain strong interpersonal relationships
- Strong MS Excel & Google Sheets capability
- Experience in, or ability to learn quickly, MS Office, Google Suite, SAP & TMS
