About the role
We are currently seeking an experienced Controller to join our Finance Shared Services team located in Adelaide. Reporting to the Head of Finance Shared Services, the primary responsibility of this role is to manage the Cost Of Doing Business (CODB) team and provide business partner support for various business units within the Group. In this role, you will
- Play a key role in periodic financial reporting, including
- Ensure periodic CODB results are prepared in a timely manner with useful and effective insight
- Provide account reconciliations for the relevant Balance Sheet accounts, complete with commentary and risk assessment
- Assist with the delivery of half/full year results with supporting notes
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance processes.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement in key financial reporting processes, including process and system improvements
- Lead and motivate an effective service team (4 direct, 41 in total)
- Strive to build and maintain a outstanding working relationship with your key business partners and in so doing create an environment of trust and cooperation
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the financial data through an effective governance regime and robust controls
- Perform adhoc tasks to support the Head of Finance Shared Services
About You

We are looking forward to hearing how you may have demonstrated these capabilities whilst also thinking about your experience in:
- At least 5 years working in a Shared Services environment;
- Driving change, leading innovation and partnering closely with your customers;
- End to end process ownership;
- Strong experience using financial systems in a commercial environment e.g. Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, macros), Google Suite, SAP, BPC, GCP;
- Able to communicate complex financial information to a broad audience; able to make the complex simple;
- Ability to synthesise large amounts of data from a variety of sources and then use data tools, models and visualisation;
- Strong presentation and storyboarding skills;
- Ability to adapt in an ever-changing environment;
- Finance-related degree with CA or CPA qualification and
- You are an outstanding and inclusive people leader who can create an engaged and high performing culture
