About the role


We currently have an opportunity for a passionate and motivated Business Analyst to join the Brand and Marketing Finance Team. The purpose of this role is to partner with members of the B&M team to support delivery of the strategy and in-year business plans. The role is an integral part of monthly performance reporting, quarterly forecasting and the annual operating plan process, with the incumbent working across the Woolworths Group. This role has great exposure to leadership and presents an exciting opportunity for someone who strives to drive tangible business outcomes in an agile, collaborative and creative manner.

We are seeking a highly driven and motivated individual with a “can do” attitude and willingness to grow as part of a high performing team. In this role, you will:

  • Have a curious mindset, be a forward thinker and provide actionable insights to stakeholders
  • Provide robust analysis to identify opportunities & risks across Brand & Marketing
  • Challenge the status quo and leverage creative thinking to solve problems
  • Identify and implement opportunities that improve processes & reporting across all of Brand & Marketing


Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Business Partnering: work closely with B&M to support delivery of the strategy and in-year plans and to improve process and business performance based on the direction set by the Head of Finance and B&M Leadership team.
  • Performance Reporting and Interpretation: Owner of monthly and quarterly close requirements, including financial results and variance analysis, generating actionable insights and performance reporting.
  • Planning and Forecasting: Lead the forecasting process across B&M. Plus, support delivery of the annual operating plan process.
  • Digitalisation of Finance and Continuous Improvement: Pro-actively drive an environment of continuous improvement with stakeholders to identify and drive process change.

Experience & Skills Required:

  • Finance related degree and CA/CPA qualified/or working towards
  • Strong communication skills, stakeholder management and relationship building skills
  • Desired - systems experience (SAP, Google Cloud) and advanced excel/modelling skills
  • Experience using financial systems in a commercial environment (SAP, GCP, IPA) and advanced Google Sheets/Excel modelling skills & Google Slides/Powepoint.
