The Opportunity
This exciting role reports into the Operations Manager, and is responsible for optimal DC operational performance and supporting the front end team to provide a seamless experience for our suppliers and customers.
Utilising your leadership, great communication skills to work directly with your team to achieve high delivery standards. Bringing your passion for helping people experience a great end to end seamless experience. This role provides development opportunities for future Operations roles.
You will be joining our passionate and supportive Supply Chain team and giving you leadership exposure and experience. Together with your team, you will be creating a world class supply chain that is described as the best and safest place to work.
Your day-to-day would include:
- Managing your relevant chamber or shift to ensure delivery in full, on time and error free
- Promoting safety values and implementing safety, health, and environment policies and systems
- Ensuring Team Leaders support injured team members in conjunction with the Return to Work function to ensure that team members are cared for and return to work in a timely manner
- Support the Operations Manager in leading business, operational and special event planning
- Managing and monitoring operational KPI’s to ensure resource planning is within budget and meets forecasts
- Building & nurturing a high-performance team, along with genuine coaching and mentoring
- Ensuring consistent practices exist within the DC, facilitate the sharing of ideas in a way that supports the achievement of key measures and drives continuous improvement
- Liaising with key stakeholders for Food & Endeavour Group and identifying opportunities for the DC to continuously improve service, efficiencies, and cost

Who we’re looking for
To succeed in this role, you will have the right level of adaptability & resilience, be an efficient and effective operator and have the ability to deliver in our time sensitive operating environment to meet our delivery commitments to our customers.
You will also demonstrate:
- Operational leadership experience in ideally FMCG, Distribution, Supply Chain Retail or Warehouse environment
- Proven people leadership skills, hands on approach, lead by example, drawing on your ability to engage and motivate others
- Capacity to work autonomously and make business decisions to ensure positive outcomes
- Achievements in service delivery, cost management, team leadership, quality and process
- Organised approach with the ability to plan and deliver against deadlines through continuous improvement and cross-functional working
- Knowledge of relevant OH&S and RTW legislation
- Incident investigation experience (ICAM preferred)
