The Opportunity
This role will be a critical leadership position in the WooliesX strategy, transformation and enablement team. In this role you will support the GM of Strategy, Transformation and Enablement, the MD of EverydayX, our loyalty and services organisation, and the Woolies X leadership team to set and refine the strategic priorities for the WooliesX business, including defining the role that it will play within the Woolworths Group. You will lead teams that are engaged across a portfolio of projects aligned to the strategic priorities of the EverydayX and the entire Woolworths Group.
More specifically the role will:
- Support the MD of EverydayX and the wider WooliesX leadership team in the definition of their strategic plan, and provide thought leadership to the leadership team
- Role model partnering across Woolworths Group, ensuring initiatives are scoped and orchestrated end to end
- Support the GM of Strategy, Transformation and Enablement for WooliesX with the leadership and direction of the strategy team. Including leading & developing a team of high performing strategy members (ex top tier consultants and experienced strategists)
- Serve on the Woolworths Group Strategy leadership team, co-leading a community squad and looking after career development for a cohort of team members
- Executive level communication and engagement, including preparation of strategy updates to the Executive Committee and the Woolworths Board
Who we’re looking for
Key to the success of someone in this role is the ability to to influence and build relationships with the senior management team and executives. You will be comfortable working in a fast paced environment and leading teams in pressured situations, drawing on your structured and rigorous approach. You will have deep experience and knowledge of strategic problem solving frameworks and can demonstrate your success delivering on large-scale projects and change management. You are a dynamic and results oriented individual with a positive attitude and strong customer first mindset.
In addition you will possess:
- Experience in and deep passion for all things digital, eCommerce and Loyalty
- Deep experience and knowledge of strategic problem solving and frameworks, delivering large-scale projects and change management
- Exceptional ability to influence, establish and maintain strong relationships with senior leadership team
- Outstanding written and oral communication
- Strong leadership, coaching and people development skills
- Organised and structured, able to coordinate multiple streams of work in parallel
- Driven & dynamic, pushes the boundaries and goes beyond the obvious
- Result-oriented, positive work ethic, collaborative and people-oriented mindset
- Minimum 7 years experience in a top tier strategy consultancy or similar experience in a corporate strategy environment
- Retail / consumer market experience is required
- Outstanding academic record and social achievements; top tier MBA preferred
